Our Mission

Our Philosophy is simple . . .

  • We believe in the educational philosophy of respect for the individual child which inlcudes his or her ability to grow and develop inner controls, to think and play creatively, and to discover strengths.
  • We believe in an individualized child-centered program.
  • We believe that the most significant years of a child's learning life are between birth and six years of age. A stimulating and active environment during these years can greatly contribute to the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of the child.

How It Works

The success of our school relies on parent and family participation in the following ways . . .

  • Participate in the classroom as a teacher's assistant on a rotating basis with other parents to be a part of the educational process.
  • Hold a board position or committee position within the school which gives parents a voice in their child’s education.
  • Attend Parent Education events and meetings because they offer tools and an opportunity to learn and grow as a parent.
  • Participate in fund-raising activities which are vital to our school's continued success.

COVID-19 Precautions 2020-2021

Sanitizing

Masks for all in person interactions

Zoom Meeting for distance learning

Mt View Coop has always been very diligent on sanitation since our littles find germs anywhere and transmit to all they encounter. We use a bleach and health department approved cleaning solutions to help prevent bacterial transmission.

Zoom Meeting for distance learning

Distance learning provides the best current solution to helping our littles progress with their education. We have found in the later months of the last school year that Zoom classes work well with the children with minor distractions. Kids meet once or twice a week via Zoom with the class and teacher.

Masks for all in person interactions

Masks are required by Washington for all interactions between non household people. We follow this standard even down to our littles. Masks help stop the transmission of Covid-19 and germs to our littles bodies and immune systems. The students have a hard time getting acquainted to learning with mask but if everyone is doing their part hopefully the others will follow in suit. please practice mask use before coming back to in class learning.
